How can Secretary Bessent refuse to release the files, and what is his motive?

Cindy Schneider's avatar

In the philes Epstein said it would be the financials that brought Trump down, not the pedophilia. Thirty years of protection for rich creeps, Epstein knew crime.

Carol's avatar

I hope this F….ing onion has no more layers! My God, it’s ALL ABOUT PEDOPHELIA…

AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL ACTUALLY NEVER WAS.

Greatest Country on earth for 250 years ALL BULLSHIT.

Jill 🌞's avatar

His motive? To serve, protect & be loyal to his ‘master’. Never mind that thousands of young girls were raped or suffered abuse in the context of these transactions.

Mrs. S's avatar

I believe he's in the files, and his masters are Mossad and putina, former head of the KGB.

JennSH from NC's avatar

The sex crimes were kompromat to ensure cooperation from wealthy businessmen and government officials for crimes activities to be able to happen. The girls were always a tool, a means to an end, not the main objective.

Sunshine Mama's avatar

He is probably in the Epstein files and also enriching himself off the American people while he sits over Treasury and IRS.

Zev Shalev in his substack Narativ, has a serialized book, The Greatest Heist, where he spells out exactly the financial fraud model they build and used in 2008. He wrote they are still doing it.

Poor Scotty is just a simple soybean farmer guys!

Argyle Wolf-Knapp's avatar

He's part of it, and has an interest in stonewalling.

Mabel's avatar

Motive: fear!!! He has info of very powerful people involved. (That’s why many of the Survivors waited to come forward. They are still afraid for their safety. They’re dealing with the most powerful men with $$$$ and a large, horrendous trafficking group of criminals/organized crime we can’t even imagine.

Claire's avatar

Isn’t he the F*ing Treasury Secty? This isn’t his purview!

Barbara's avatar

He’s a weird dude never trust a man that lives in a pink house

Karin's avatar

You forget who his cult leader is.

After witnessing Scott Bessent’s testimony before the House Financial Services Committee last week, his condescending attitude revealed why the regime chose him. He’s the fox guarding the chicken coop. Only problem is, he’s actually working for Moscow in shielding this criminal financial network; and apparently he thinks we’re stupid. Putin knows everything that’s in those records at Treasury. And Scott Bessent is “dispensable.”

Winston Smith London Oceania's avatar

Awesome screen name.

Mabel's avatar

Anyone who gets access to all this information is undoubtedly at risk.

James North's avatar

These are very powerful men. It takes courage to go up against them. They maintain control through kompromat and threats of violence. We will never move forward as a nation unless we shut this down.

The Epstein Class's avatar

Bessent became Trustee of George Soros Foundation in summer 1991. Epstein became Trustee of Les Wexner Foundation in July 1991.

Bessent is at Treasury for a reason.

Will Liley's avatar

I’m mystified by Bessent. There has never been a whiff of scandal about George Soros (except of course in the fevered nightmares of the MAGA-verse), especially not any related to under-age girls (or boys). So how did Bessent go from there to here today?

Mrs. S's avatar

Good cover, plausible deniability. People who don't expect to see epstein class behaviors may not look beyond the standard screening. I doubt he's at the Soros Foundation any longer.

J. Busby's avatar

I think there are quite a few people in this administration that were fairly normal before signing on to this cult. Of course, selling your soul for a political agenda makes them not normal.

Paul's avatar

Yes, Bessent has been whisked into a position he is clearly terrible at performing and has now substituted craven sycophancy for competence now that the mask is off.

However, trace back a few administrations and explain why the Treasury did nothing to expose the easily traceable finance paths that involved Epstein.

The lack of curiosity (aka coverup) of Mnuchin under Trump is easy to explain…

The incurious nature of Yellen under Biden? That one takes a bit more chin strokery 🤔 to rationalize. All roads with Epstein eventually lead to Israel.

I can’t figure out why Joe didn’t pursue any of the Trump criminal leads (and in many cases actual indictments) he had available to him when he assumed office. Why was he guided to a policy of political malpractice and electoral self immolation by a Democratic consultant class whose personal fortunes rely upon a powerful donor class beholden to no individual nation?

That’s another head scratcher. 😑

I’m sure the motivation of Biden’s reluctance to follow any leads that he knew would lead back to Israel, and his “iron-clad” fealty to Zionism will eventually be revealed. Though Yellen, along with Garland and Harris, just be recalled as bit players in that horrendous farce.

Resistance Media's avatar

Head scratcher indeed, Paul. The lack of investigation during the years of Obama, Biden and Democrat control is unconscionable. This has been effectively an ongoing, bi-partisan coverup over decades.

Karen Rund's avatar

Well, I do think ol' Billyboy ( Clinton) pbly had committed enough misbehavior with Epstein that HE was definitely caught in that honey trap. Bill just couldn't keep his dick in his pants, as we all knew.

The rest of them? I don't know. I hope they were only guilty of schmoozing with someone they shouldn't, but we need to find out.

The truth needs to be revealed. Perps need to be prosecuted, and jailed. Banks need to be investigated, prosecuted for crimes, and shut down if guilty.

Patrice La Belle, M.D.'s avatar

Biden stayed out of DOJ decisions. DOJ was working on the 1500 successful Jan 6th prosecutions. Epstein had died and his criminal empire was probably considered a lower priority than the Jan 6th prosecutions, for all the good they did after Trump's pardons.

Laneta Johnston-Meeker's avatar

Most cogent argument I’ve heard on this topic. Calm, rational and fact based

Peter T Hooper's avatar

Wyden: show some courage and just make these documents public. Leak them out, if you have to, by “mistake.”

Doug miller's avatar

BESSENT IS the biggest Gaslighting fool besides Trump himself!!

Then there's that totally annoying Kevin Hasset, another bullshiter, gaslighter! Between these two worthless pieces of shit the truth about anything will remain buried under tons of bullshit!!!

Which is why you never let a corrupt mob boss steal an election and install themselves as president!!!

Both 2024 and 2016 were rigged and stolen by the King of Shit Trump!!!

LML's avatar

These guys are not above "disappearing" people, causing others to "commit" suicide (murder?) and the closer the flames get to them, the more desperate their attempts will be to snuff out the fire.

SPI Maker's avatar

Emphasis on the word "snuff"

Glen Jackson's avatar

There is, however, another set of files, that if made public, could finally and fully explode this coverup and bring the proverbial walls tumbling down. They are sitting in the US Treasury Department and being withheld by Secretary #ScottBessent 🏳️‍🌈👌🏻🤣

Sandra Nicht's avatar

here was my message to Wyden's office:

"Please make PETRA a priority. After watching Pam Bondi's unprofessional behavior (as well as her perjury before Congress) bringing the extensive complicity by the banking industry in Epstein's sex trafficking and blackmail operation is critical to not only holding all criminals accountable for aiding, abetting, and participating in child sex trafficking but for helping the victims begin to heal from their abuse."

Agreed. Each of mine was male except one.

All those bank protocols ignored and yet I, a senior on limited income, cannot deposit $100 into my child's bank account at the teller. I have to go through the ATM machine "for tracking, in case of money laundering" as they told me.

Mrs. S's avatar

I recommend switching to a credit union. Our credit unions have no trouble with us moving money in similar amounts.

Barbara Baldwin's avatar

I’d be finding another bank if I were you. That’s a lazy or poorly informed teller feeding you a line. Or a strange protocol.

Follow the money 💰

Felicia McCarthy's avatar

Sen. Wyden knows to follow the money.

Mrs. S's avatar

Yes, he does. He is one of the consciences of the Senate, and fearlessly follows the money. He's ethical, moral, and resolute, like Jack Smith. Unfortunately, following the money and prosecuting these perps will take time, not a 23-minute sitcom interval.

Survivor's avatar

donald j. trump is only one part of the equation to destroy America. The other is Scott Bessent. Together they pose the greatest economic threat this country has ever experienced.

Jaime Ramirez's avatar

It's far more than just Trump & Bessent. It includes Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, JD Vance, Steve Bannon, Stephen Miller, Russell Vought, Pam Bondi, Curtis Yarvin, David Sachs, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Larry Ellison, Timothy Mellon, Howard Lutnick, Gym Jordan, Andy Biggs, Mike Johnson, Ron Johnson, Rick Scott, Tom Cotton, Lindsey Graham, Paul Gosar, Ted Cruz, Bebe Netanyahu, Mohammed bin Salman & the mastermind behind this all, Vladimir Putin, just to name a few. It includes the very richest & most powerful people in the world. It's why we shouldn't put so much power in so few individuals & let them accumulate more money than they know what to do with. They spend that money not only on mansions, yachts, Lamborghinis, jets & islands. They also use it to buy elections, bribe government officials, keep themselves out of prison, organize trafficking rings, contract out murders, & various other nefarious & illegal activities.

Survivor's avatar

You’re right about all of it.

Michael Ann Ochs's avatar

I agree. This is where evidence of crimes will be proven and will break open this crime syndicate for all to see, including trafficking

Jaime Ramirez's avatar

Note that during the Mueller investigation of conspiracy between the Trump campaign & Russia, Mueller's team was blocked from looking into personal & financial connections between Trump & Russia, which is why it was unable to conclusively prove conspiracy.

Mrs. S's avatar

Which is why dumpy never released his tax returns. Failing to disclose income, failing to pay taxes on said bribery and corruption income is tax evasion.

Under GW Bush and Treasury secretary John Snow, they stopped prosecuting cases that were built over years of following the money. He told workers to close any cases that couldn't be closed in six months or less. A friend who took these guys to federal court in Tacoma told me of this.

Guess who got off free? The epstein class. And who was prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law? It wasn't the billionaires and multimillionaires. It was people living in trailer parks, like one case in Cowlitz County.

Rebuild the IRS. Follow the money and their gines and penalties may well rebalance the national debt.
